I live not a perfect life. I have my lapses, my weaknesses and my personal struggles. But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong. 2 Corinthians 12:9 And above all these, it is God who is being magnified in my life. Not me nor my circumstances, but God.
Walking through my christian life will never be as easy as it is. My life is an open book which everybody's love to read. I am not afraid of committing sin just because people will get disappointed of me but more of because I am serving a living God and He doesn't deserved anything that displeases Him. "'Consecrate yourselves and be holy, because I am the LORD your God." Leviticus 20:7
The good things that I am doing, the stories that I am sharing and the words that I am proclaiming are not for me to be righteous, for its is only by His grace that I am still able to stand before God inspite of my imperfections. The Lord that I am serving is a faithful God and equally just. This is not about rules. This is not about do's and dont's. This life is about how to make our life worth living for His glory. It might be hard to live a life under God's law at first, but I assure you, it is a lot harder to live a life without Him. "You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world." 1 John 4:4
Never underestimate the power of what God can do to your life by simply doing things that you want without considering if it pleases God or not. We will never know how we hurt God everytime we claim that we are His and yet doing things that dishonors Him. Claiming that we are Christians but not living in His Word. "Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says." James 1:22
And also, do not be overconfident Christians. We will be facing trials of different kind. Be on your guard. The enemy is just around the corner. Watch out!"So, if you think you are standing firm, be careful that you don't fall!" 1Corinthians 10:12 " Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings." 1 Peter 5:8-9
Lastly, be with the right people. People of the same faith. People who will not condemn you but will encourage you instead. People who will remind you that you cannot really live your christian life alone. ;) "And we urge you, brothers, warn those who are idle, encourage the timid, help the weak, be patient with everyone." 1 Thessalonians 5:14
